1. The latest person to jump into the Wisconsin governor's race explains how he would work with President Trump to get things done. Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley made his candidacy "official" this morning.

2. Nationwide testing shows the continuation of a disturbing educational trend. In 2024, Wisconsin had mixed results on the National Assessment of Educational Progress, with 31% of fourth graders and 31% of eighth graders scoring proficient in reading, and 42% of fourth graders and 37% of eighth graders scoring proficient in math. With the lead situation under control and financial reporting compliant, MPS Superintendent Dr Brenda Cassellius is putting literacy at the top of her priority list. Wisconsin has the largest racial disparity in the nation for math and reading scores, with significant gaps between Black and white students according to data released by the National Center for Education Statistics.

3. A big recall over backup cameras. Federal regulators just issued a recall for more than a million vehicles. The problem with the backup cameras is being blamed for at least 18 accidents.

On WTMJ's Point Taken today, Crowley said people around the state of Wisconsin need affordable rent, affordable healthcare, and affordable food. Crowley said he's uniquely positioned to help with that. Crowley joins Lt. Governor Sara Rodriguez and longtime beer vendor Ryan Strand as those running for Governor on the Democratic side. Washington County Executive Josh Schoemann and New Berlin Businessman and former NAVY Seal Bill Berrien are running on the Republican side.

2. Jury selection continues today in Florida at the trial of Ryan Routh, the man accused of attempting to assassinate President Trump. Routh is not a lawyer, but he's choosing to represent himself. The court is trying to make sure this doesn't turn into a circus. Twenty-seven out of the 60 prospective jurors claimed that they had a hardship that would prevent them from participating on the jury for Routh's case. Meanwhile, Routh claimed he had reservations about many potential jurors but couldn't identify specific concerns.

3. It's one of the most popular online games in the world, boasting nearly 112 million daily users, but Roblox remains the target of criticism from people who say it poses a threat to kids. Now, the game-maker is doing something about it. There's an article in ‘New York Magazine’ today, with the headline "The Brain-Rotting Dystopia of Roblox." The article started with "What if Roblox, the world's most beloved video-game app, is turning children into mindless hyper-consumers?"
