1. It's week two of the Maxwell Anderson trial in Milwaukee. Anderson is accused of killing and dismembering 19-year-old Sade Robinson after a first date in April 2024. The first witness on the stand today: the man who lived in the lower unit of Anderson's duplex. Pete Worbington said he'd known him for years. They grew up playing little league together. Listen to what happened the night the SWAT team showed up at his house. Worbington says he was getting ready to move out when Anderson was arrested. He said Anderson became an "unsufferable landlord." Worbington testified about the home sounding like an "active construction zone" due to what he described as Anderson's home improvement projects. He also said Anderson had people over so much, it became disruptive to his work life. The lower tenant also complained about a terrible smell in the basement where Anderson's dogs were kenneled when he wasn't home.

2. The Justice Department announced it is filing federal hate crime charges against a man police say used a makeshift flame thrower and another incendiary device to burn eight people holding a weekly remembrance in Boulder, Colorado for the Israeli hostages still held by Hamas in Gaza. The FBI says Mohamed Soliman was allegedly heard shouting "free Palestine" during the attack. The FBI also says Soliman told investigators he had been crafting this plan for a year. Retired FBI special agent Jeff Harp explains why terrorism charges are involved here.

The problem? The file containing all that sensitive information was, itself, not password protected.

1. "Very unusual”, is how the assistant medical examiner described the autopsy for 19-year-old Sade Robinson. Dr. Lauren Decker took the stand today in the Maxwell Anderson trial. We're now in week two of the trial. Anderson is accused of killing and dismembering the young Milwaukee woman after a first date in April 2024. Dr. Decker said Robinson's autopsy was "very unusual" because the medical examiner's office received portions of Robinson's body over two-and-a-half months. Dr. Decker said it looked like a sharp instrument was used to cut through Robinson's flesh. She testified she didn't see any bleeding, leading her to believe the amputation was probably done after death. She said "no substances contributed-- or--- caused her death." Dr. Decker also ruled out natural causes. Robinson's mother told me in an interview before the trial... that her daughter's death certificate reads: "homicide by unspecified means”. The jury is due back from its lunch break in about 30 minutes.

2. Fortune Magazine is out with its annual list of the nation's biggest corporations. The Fortune 500 list ranks the largest US companies by revenue, and 8 Wisconsin-based businesses crack the list. Northwestern Mutual: The highest-ranked Wisconsin company, consistently topping the list for the state at 110. Other Wisconsin companies on the list include ManpowerGroup, Kohl's, Fiserv, American Family Insurance, WEC Energy Group, Oshkosh Corporation, and Rockwell Automation. The revenue threshold for making the list was $7.4 billion.

3. The latest in the attack in Boulder, Colorado, as eight people are recovering after police say someone attacked a group of people gathering to show their support for freeing the hostages in Gaza. Police say the suspect used a makeshift flame-thrower and yelled "free Palestine" during the attack. Boulder Police have stopped short of calling the attack terrorism, but the FBI has characterized it as such. Former FBI agent Brad Garrett says the investigation is still early but mentions some of the questions law enforcement may be asking. This attack happened four years after 10 people were killed in a shooting rampage at a grocery store in Boulder. The gunman was sentenced to life in prison for murder.

2. A 45-year-old Colorado man is in custody after assaulting a group of people attending a Jewish community event on Sunday. The rally was in support of the hostages still held by Hamas. Officials say 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, shouted "free Palestine" then used a makeshift flame-thrower to injure and burn participants. Soliman is a 45-year-old Egyptian national who was in the US illegally after overstaying his tourist visa. The attack follows a series of other antisemitic incidents in the US, including the fatal shooting of two Israeli embassy staff members in Washington, D.C., less than two weeks ago.

3. The latest data breach is a big one, maybe the biggest. It should serve as a reminder to anyone with an Apple device, a Facebook presence, or a Google account. The database containing the information was discovered by security researcher Jeremiah Fowler.
