1. A Milwaukee mother prepares for her daughter's accused killer to go on trial. Jury selection is underway right now... in the trial of Maxwell Anderson- the man accused of killing and dismembering 19-year-old Sade Robinson. The young woman was killed in April 2024, and her body parts were found across Milwaukee County, and in part of Illinois as well. Robinson's mother, Sheena Scarbro, tells us they still don't have all of her remains. She says she's been preparing for this week as best as she can. 34-year-old Maxwell Anderson is accused of killing Robinson after their first date. He's charged with first degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and arson in her death. He pleaded not guilty.12 jurors need to be selected for the trial. The case is expected to last for two weeks.

2. New orders for manufactured durable goods in the United States slid more than 6 percent in April compared to the month before. The decline was largely attributed to a 17.1% drop in transportation equipment orders, including a significant decrease in non-defense aircraft and parts. New orders for durable goods are considered a leading indicator of economic activity, reflecting businesses' confidence in the future.

3. Put on sunscreen! Doctors say everyone, even those with darker skin, should be wearing sunscreen daily. A lot of people ask which sunscreen is best. Experts say it's the one you're willing to apply and reapply.

1. Jury selection is underway for the man accused of killing and dismembering 19-year-old Sade Robinson of Milwaukee. The young woman was killed in April 2024. The horrifying details of her murder captured our community’s attention and made hearts sink for the family. Wisconsin does not have the death penalty, but that's what Scarbro told me she would want if it did. Anderson is accused of killing Robinson after their first date. Robinson's family is seated in the first row of the courtroom today. There's also a section reserved for Anderson's family. 12 jurors need to be selected for the trial. The case is expected to last for two weeks.

2. The on-again, off-again World of Trump tariffs has another chapter. Threats of a sizeable tariff on European Goods are on pause for now. The delay was announced after a call between Trump and Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission. **In 2024 the European Union was the United States largest trade partner with over $975 dollars' worth of goods exchanged.

3. Covid-19 vaccine recommendations are changing. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says he’s directed the CDC to remove the vaccine from the recommended immunization schedule for healthy children and healthy pregnant women. Last week, the FDA announced, it’s overhauling how it approves vaccines which may limit future shots to those who are older, and at a higher risk of serious infection.
