1. Pope Francis has died at the age of 88. Francis led the world's Roman Catholics since March of 2013 when he was elected to replace Pope Benedict the 16th, who resigned. Born Jorge Mario Bergoglio in 1936, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Francis was the first Pope from the southern hemisphere and the first born outside Europe since the 8th-century. He was also the first Jesuit Pope. At the start of 7am mass on Monday, Cardinal Timothy Dolan addressed the Pope's death, at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York.

2. Democrats are calling for the resignation of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth after it was revealed that he shared details about an imminent attack on the Houthis in Yemen in March on another group chat using the messaging app Signal. The details shared in the second chat group including family and friends included the flight schedules for the fighter jets involved in that military attack. Hegseth is a former Fox News Host who needed the tie breaking vote of Vice President JD Vance to secure his role as the Secretary of Defense.

3. Another fatal crash involving a small plane. Officials have recorded nearly 300 aircraft accidents already this year, and more than 50 of them have been fatal. An urgent investigation is underway, after a single engine plane with four people on board came crashing down in Cole County, Illinois. The NTSB says the Cessna 180 struck multiple powerlines. Officials say two men and two women from Wisconsin were on board. All four pronounced dead at the scene.

1. Families in southern Wisconsin are assessing the damage after hail hit this morning. The warning from the National Weather Service said the destructive storm could contain baseball sized hail. Flash flooding and hail made for an inconvenient morning. Another round of storms is possible this afternoon and tonight.

2. Hide granny's old valuables! There's a new gold rush underway. Gold prices hit an all-time high this week: Three-thousand, three-hundred-57 dollars. That's up about 27 percent from the start of the year. With gold prices at record highs, collectors are searching their homes, cracking open their safes, and removing valuable jewels and heirlooms, all to have them melted down for cash. One market analyst says it happens with every gold spike. Experts say the cause for the increase is geo-political tensions, tariff turmoil, and increased demand from central banks.

1. Happening Now: A sendoff rally is underway for the Milwaukee Bucks outside Signature Aviation at Milwaukee's airport. The Bucks are making the short flight to Indianapolis where the post-season begins Saturday afternoon against the Pacers. We know all-star guard Damain Lillard will not play in game-1, but he has been cleared to practice. Lillard has been out since March 18th with deep vein thrombosis in his right calf. It's unclear when Lillard will take the floor in the playoffs. Games three and four of the series will be played in Milwaukee on Friday and Sunday of next week.

2. A midday lull in the weather after a strong line of storms brought heavy rains, hail reaching 3 inches in diameter, thunder and lightning. A flash flood warning for Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Waukesha counties that was originally scheduled to expire at 11:45 ended up expiring about 10:30, but more storms could be on the way. Saturday looks cooler and dry with temperatures in the mid 50's.

3. Six-and-a-half years before hijacked jets took down the World Trade Center, the nation got its first taste of a large-scale terrorist attack. The people of Oklahoma City will gather tomorrow to remember the community's darkest day.
