1. Mixed markets on Wall Street this afternoon, as President Trump calls for the termination of the Federal Reserve Chair. So, what's the impact if President Trump removes Jerome Powell before the end of his next term next year? President Trump is frustrated the Fed has not aggressively cut interest rates. Today the President slammed Powell. He said his "termination" couldn't come fast enough.
2. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced the cancelation of two D-H-S grants totaling over 2.7 million dollars to Harvard University, declaring it unfit to be entrusted with taxpayer dollars. The IRS can revoke status, but the law currently states that neither the President, the Vice President, or anybody in the Executive Office of the President can tell the IRS to investigate specific taxpayers.
3. The NFL Draft begins one week from tonight. The best college talent won't be the only ones taking the draft stage outside Lambeau Field. Three-time Grammy Award winning Country Music Star Brad Paisley will headline the Draft concert series in Green Bay and close out the event with a performance on April 26th. The show is scheduled to begin shortly after the conclusion of the 7th round. The show is free and open to the public. A drone show will take place following rounds two and three on Friday.
