At the age of 20, there were already a lot of changes that happened in my life. Today, I would like to share with you a positive change I had.

When I was in high school, I was so addicted and engrossed(全神贯注的;专注的) in playing computer games. My parents scolded(批评；责骂) me a lot of times which even made them cry and beg in front of me. I was an undisciplined（无纪律的；没规矩的） boy. I used to ignore my parent’s advice. I was unaware of the adverse（不利的;有害的） consequences of my actions.

Until one day, I lost the sight in my left eye. According to the doctor, it was because of too much exposure to the computer screen. My parents were right. I should have followed them.

So, I stopped playing computer games. I disciplined（训练；管教） myself. I listened to my parents. After several days, I suddenly regained my sight. Now my two eyes are working clearly.

Losing my sight for several years hit my heart and head hard. That incident was a lesson for me. Everything that is too much would always have a negative result.

Now, I just focus on my studies and physical exercise. I won’t play computer games again. I've already learned my lesson(吸取教训). That’s enough for me.

Well, in my neighborhood, I know many persons. Some are of similar views as I have, but some are really contrary(与我意见相反的) to me. Here I would like to speak about Mr. Keith who lives next door to me. He has a great personality（很有个性的）. I really like this person due to his amazing traits（惊人的特征）. I love the qualities like he is very helpful. Currently, he has been working in a bank as a bank manager. In spite of getting a huge amount of salary, he never boasts of（吹嘘） his income. By contrast, he loves to help the downtrodden（受压迫的） people either by giving monetary help（金钱帮助） or by fulfilling their other basic needs. So I can’t think how can a rich person give some share of their income to a weaker section（弱势群体）, especially when people nowadays don’t give a single penny to whom they know well. Sometimes, I really feel depressed. At that time, he motivated me and helped me in making a long term vision（长期愿景）. So his positive attitude for any difficult situation inspires me more, and nobody can escape from his influential personality（有影响力的人格）. Everybody admires him for his positivity and energetic spirit（精力充沛的精神） as well as clear vision. He is above board in his dealings（他做事情光明正大）. I think it’s the passion of the person that has made him an energetic person. I think the person is interesting. Whenever he talks to an older person, he talks differently.When he talks to youngsters, then he behaves like a young man. So he has an adjustable(灵活的) personality. Besides, he also guides me in many ways.

As a matter of fact, I grew up in ahealth-conscious（注重健康的） household, so I haveadopted（采取，采用） healthy habits since I was young. I can vividly recall that my father used to have me get up early in the morning and then take me to a local high school playground for some light exercise.

Nowadays, I get out of bed at about 5:30 a.m., put on my joggers and trainers, and go for a one-hour walk before I start my day. I would then begin walking down the public park close to my apartment, but if I'mnot in the mood（没心情） for a walk, I would ride my bicycle since it is more convenient. I firmly believe that the morning air is incredibly beneficial to one's health since the air and environment are fresher in the morning than at any other time of the day. Soinhaling（吸入） fresh air, as well as exercising, is unquestionably a healthy practice. Besides, walking was proven to improvecardiovascular（心血管的） fitness and muscleendurance（耐力）. Also, my father always tells me that a sound mind rests on a fit body, and I have experiencedfirsthand（直接地） that this habit is advantageous to my overall physical health and mental well-being.

I started doing this early morning exercise a few years ago, but now I almost always have two of my friends or cousins with me as they alsotake pleasure in（乐于，喜欢） exercising. However, I can only wish all of us wouldengage in（参与） any fitness activity since it will benefit us in the long run.

I am such a kind of person who likes surprising my friends and family members. Today, I would like to share with you a surprising gift I want to give to my mother. This kitchenware includes glassware and cooking equipment which would aid her a lot in her cooking. Well, I want to give that to her since it has been a long time since she bought a new kitchenware. The utensils（器具） she has been using in cooking are old and vulnerable（易坏的）already. I guess, it‘s time for her to use the new ones.  Moreover, I want to buy her that gift to show my outmost (最高的）appreciation, love and gratitude（感激） to her. In my 22 years of existence, she has served us the most delicious foods on our table.  My mother deserves that gift since that could be one of the simplest ways of showing my love to her. I hope that when my mom unwraps(打开）my gift, she would be on cloud nine(开心）. I believe that she would be extremely jovial the moment she opens my gift.

This topic reminds me of a wonderful time I had last year. Even if travelling was still not fully permitted（允许）, I had grabbed a chance to go to a place I have never been. Hence, this place is something that I could recommend to you.

Basically, it is Sanya which lies in the southernmost（最南的） part of my country, particularly on the end of the Hainan Island. I guess, it is one of the best tourist attractions in my country so that’s really worth recommending. 

Last summer, me and my friends went there as an anniversary（周年） celebration of our friendship. We had different options beforehand（事先）. But this place became our top choice. When we arrived there, we were astonished（吃惊的） not only by the beauty of the place but the atmosphere it had offered. The moment we stepped there, our pressure from studies was suddenly gone. In our three-day trip, we had tried activities we had never done before. On our first day, we had tried island hopping（列岛游）. This is when we visited different islands and took countless（数不清的） pictures in each. I still remember, our boatman（船夫） was very humorous and easy going, which’s why our trip became memorable. On the next day, we had tried surfing. Personally, I had fears of drowning（溺水） in the water but this sport helped me overcome it. Through the surfing coach’s guidance, my spirit was boosted（增强） and I dared to try it. It was nerve wracking（令人头疼的） at first but definitely worth it. Lastly, we just enjoyed the sunrise and sunset on our last day. I guess, watching the sun go up and down could be one of the best things we have done there. It was special because during our school time, we rarely go out. So, we rarely see the sun.

I recommend that place not only because of the activities we had done there but because of the atmosphere and the people we met there. After your trip, you would surely plan on going back to that paradise（天堂）.

Nowadays, he is considered as one of the most followed athletes最受关注的运动员 on Instagram with over three hundred million followers. Just like other social media users, he would share his daily life on his account. It is like a way for him to stay in contact with保持联系his fans from different parts of the world. As I have mentioned earlier, I have been such a massive fan铁杆粉丝of football and i guess that's the reason why I followed his accounts. He inspires me to be better and continue reaching my dreams in life. By looking at his social media updates, I am motivated to pursue my career as a football player.

I remember having many toys in my childhood and in different stages of my childhood I preferred different toys. But among them, the digital artboard was a very special one to me and I played with this special toy for more than 3-4 years as I recall（记起）.

This was a gift from my aunt on the occasion of my 5th or 6th birthday. It looked like a whiteboard which was approximately 14x10 inches in dimension（在尺寸上）. The screen was white and there were 5-6 buttons to operate the digital artboard. A digital pen or stylus pen（触控笔） was attached to it for painting. This stylus could be placed on the right side of the board. The board was similar to a middle size notebook and was lightweight（轻便的）.  

I became fascinated（着迷的） with the toy when I first saw it at a superstore（大型超市）. The seller described the features that I could draw pictures on this board, edit them, save them and reopen the saved pictures anytime I like. There was a built-in（内置的） memory and it could store（储存） up to 10 thousand drawings. He also told me that the tool makes the painting process easy, and it came with some templates（模板） that would help me draw some nice pictures.

At that time I was around 5 or 6 years old and the toy really mesmerised（迷住） me. I had a hidden desire to own it one day. I wanted to complete different arts, and save them to show to others while also developing my painting skills. Since I had a passion for painting, I thought the toy would be perfect for me. I told my aunt about my fascination with this toy, and a few days later, she gave me this toy as my birthday gift. I was so speechless（因惊讶而说不出话） when I had it.

This toy was important to me because I have longed for it and that was a special gift from my beloved（亲爱的） aunt. I remember playing with it till I was 8 or 9 years old and I had painted lots of things on it. As a kid, no doubt, that was a fascinating and exciting toy for me.

Frankly speaking, I am such a tactless and a careless type of person. In the past, I have already broken a lot of things due to these traits(特质）. Almost the entire time of my vacation, I didn’t have any activity than just playing mobile games on my phone. Until one day, my phone stopped working. The screen totally turned black and the buttons remained dead. It stopped working after I used my phone for more than a day. It malfunctioned since it didn’t have a chance to take a break nor to charge itself. Then, I got really fascinated by（迷恋） an online game that’s why I wasn’t able to control myself. So, the next day, I have brought my broken phone to a nearby repair shop. According to the technician, I have abused the capacity of my phone. The technician told me that one of its parts exploded due to over usage（过度使用）. After hearing those words, I felt really terrible and mad. I felt that the blame should always be put on me.Moreover, I learned a lesson（吸取教训） from this experience. I realized that I should always be careful on all my belongings particularly my phone. From this case, I also learned to manage my time properly and wisely. Hence, my summer vacationshouldn’t only be spent in playing but in building or strengthening more my relationship with my parents and relatives.
