Announced Yesterday, Ed Still is the new Watford manager. The big question is... Does anyone care?
It's safe to say Ned and James feel very flat about the whole process at the moment, as many Watford fans share the disappointment over Javi's resignation and this appointment.
The boys dissect the Belgian's pedigree, whether there are positives to take from his arrival. What does this mean for the rest of the season and beyond?
Please do get in touch with your thoughts. We'd love to know!

It was Millwall who came to the Vic for the Graham Taylor matchday in 2026. But a second disappointing performance on the bounce let the hornets slip to 8th in the table and the second defeat to championship opposition in two weeks.
Ned and James discuss a frustrating afternoon, what went wrong and any moments of positivity that stand out.
How much of a miss is Max Alleyne? Do we need a left-back and can Kjerummgaard do the business up top?
Was this performance simply a blip, or has the momentum faltered and was Millwall real cause for concern?
Then the boys turn their attention to the transfer window, Fabrizio Romano gave Bove to Watford the green light on Saturday, how much of an impact can the Italian make? as well as Cesar Inga, the Peruvian full-back has been linked with the club, what does a player who can play on both sides of the back four add to the squad? and what cover does that give for us going forward?
All this and more! We hope you enjoyed.

We’re back for a slightly different episode to kick off the New Year. With the transfer window now open and Valon Behrami’s press conference dropping yesterday, we thought it was the perfect time to sit down and take stock of where things stand ahead of the FA Cup tie against Bristol City.
Ned and James discuss the January window so far, with Behrami's comments how do they feel about the state of the squad as it is, do we feel the current crop is good enough to stay in the play-offs and the frustrating departure of Max Alleyne.
The boys then discuss the arrival of Edoardo Bove, what sort of quality can he bring to Vicarage Road if he is to come. How can he affect the starting 11 and his return from cardiac arrest.
They then discuss Bristol City in the FA Cup, hardly a draw for the ages but an opportunity for young players to come through and shine?
Thanks for listening!

A huge win away from home at Carrow Road as Watford finish off 2025 with three wins on the bounce while heading into the play-offs.
Ned and James discuss the game in depth, have we got a settled starting 11? - how will this be changed on new years day as we face Birmingham at home.
A big three points on the road and another win away from home - have we fixed our away form? pushing our way up the table into 6th. How important is January for the golden boys?
Guess the player returns alongside much more!
Thank you for an amazing 2025, we're so excited for what's to come in 2026!

A first away win at the King Power since 2013, Watford defeat the foxes 2-1 on Boxing day 2025!
Ned and James go through the game in depth and focus on the system, fans have been critical of Javi but it was perfect at the King Power. Counter attacking football!
The boys pull out their key players; Pollock, Louza, Maamma, Chakvetadze. How important they were to winning three points.
They then discuss how much of a bargain Outhmane Maamma was; just $250,000 from Montpellier the Moroccan already has 3 goals and 1 assist in 10 games, how high does his ceiling go? will he be a one season wonder for Watford (Then sold).
As well as the return fixture to Norwich on Monday evening, how tough actually is that game? should we go there with confidence? One defeat in 11 for the golden boys. Back to back wins for the first time since February. Something might be happening this year. Heading into the January mire of fixtures with momentum. Very much looking up rather than down.

Watford head into Christmas in 10th spot in the Championship after a scrappy 1-0 at home to Stoke City.
Ned and James are back to discuss the game and try to extract some talking points from what was a pretty drab game - but are there signs of life and reasons to look up the table?
We discuss whether Luca Kyerrumgaard's winning goal is the reason why he keeps starting games. Whether Imran Louza is starting to look a little tired or if he is starting to be found out by the opposition and we compare how we feel heading into Christmas this season as opposed to the last campaign.
With a busy Christmas period looming and some rather tricky fixtures coming up, how confident are we going to be feeling come FA Cup weekend?
The usual features return as well; Tale of the Game, Guess the Player and Fantasy EFL!

Watford salvage another 3 points from the jaws of defeat as they come from behind to beat Norwich 3-2 at Vicarage Road.
Ned and James are back to discuss the game and perhaps the more questions than answers that came out of it.
What is going on with the back four? constant individual mistakes. Is it a personnel issue? is it the tactics? or is it the midfield not protecting them as they should? which leads the boys on to the question of: is the 4-4-2 working? a lot of joy from those fullbacks going forward. But leaking goals and being far too easy to play through in the middle is posing a lot of questions. Do we actually have the midfielders to play in a 4-4-2?
Coming from behind to win points is fantastic... but not sustainable. What needs to change?

We're back with an AwayDays podcast for the first time in a long time this week!
Ned and James both traveled to Birmingham on Monday night to see Watford's first defeat in 6 as they slumped to a 2-1 defeat.
The boys discuss the game in detail, what went wrong in the first half, the comeback kings of the EFL struggled to get back into the game after Maamma's effort early on in the second half and eventually ran out of steam chasing Birmingham.
The big question is the number of defensive mistakes; do we need to reavaluate the back four? do we need a change at CB (we're certainly not light in this area) has Kyprianou been good enough recently? is it time for Papy Mendy to come back into the fold?
All this and more! finishing on a look ahead to Norwich on Saturday! is this an important game now?
Enjoy!
