YNP 322: Do You Even Lift? New Study Reveals For Most Americans That is a Definitive NO

If you walk down the street and ask each person a simple question: Do You Even Lift? The answer you will get from an overwhelming number of people (who are being honest) is a definitive NO. NOT AT ALL. 

A new study that reported data collected from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) showed that 60% of Americans do 0 muscle strengthening exercises and only 20% do them at least 3 times per week. 

The worst part about it is that this is a self reported telephone survey. People tend to report MUCH higher physical activity levels in this type of self-reported compared to when we measure activity objectively. (Study where PA was measured with accelerometers)
