A new study that reported data collected from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) showed that 60% of Americans do 0 muscle strengthening exercises and only 20% do them at least 3 times per week.
The worst part about it is that this is a self reported telephone survey. People tend to report MUCH higher physical activity levels in this type of self-reported compared to when we measure activity objectively. (Study where PA was measured with accelerometers)
