Consciousness exists; Psychologists, philosophers and scientists all study it. But what actually is it, and how do we know when we’re being conscious/ present? I'm probably not going to answer all of those questions in this epsiode, but I've certainly made a good start!

This episode is where I transform a personal crisis into something of value. The Mandarin character for ‘crisis’ has two meanings ‘danger’ and ‘opportunity.’ This crisis is in fact an opportunity for me to share stories from my life, let you witness some of the hurt and shame, and how I moved forward. Learning to be vulnerable is one of the greatest skills I’ve ever acquired, and has lead me to success. Maya Angelou describes success as ‘liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.’

What is enough? Don't seek to earn, be or have enough. Seek satisfaction.
A study was done by the University of London to measure happiness and material wealth, it found that seeing friends and relatives most days is worth the equivalent of a pay rise of over £60k. That’s something to reflect on when demands at work are high. No one ever empties their inbox or clears the To Do list, so when you finish you’re working day, take a moment to feel satisfied with what you’ve achieved.
I recommend you read 'Enough' by John Naish. And join my book group.
A great place to read and relax is on retreat, with me! Here's my schedule.
