The first rays of sun start to brighten the day, cast some light on the darkness.
In this meditation you'll learn how the sun is a metaphor for meditation, and the darkness of the sky, is like the quality of the mind.

'Affirmations are like whipped cream on garbage, you can make it sweet, but it's still garbage.'
I've never found affirmations that helpful, I can't link emotion to the words so they don't change how I feel. What I find most helpful is to ask questions that move me forward. When you ask yourself a question, your brain goes off and looks for the answer and it's a game changer.

For the first episode of Season 3 I talk about one of my most popular blogs where I was saying offers don't work for Yoga. I got so many responses I wanted to talk a little more about it.
Offers don't work for teachers OR students. I seek to inspire students to form life long healthy habits, but not before pointing out what a hypocrite I am, because when I started teaching classes I ran an offer.
This episode shows the importance of evolution and changing your mind.
Show Notes: Here's the blog post that got everyone talking.

The final main epsiode of season 2! Dr Bruce Lipton and his book 'Biology of Belief' was my inspiration for this epsiode, I saw him recently in London and after a day of lectures, he left us with a call to action; to understand how our thoughts and mindset create our reality
All that's left for me to do, is to give a heart felt thanks to you for listening, sharing and reviewing Season Two of the Yoga Pose Podcast.
Show Notes: Biology of Belief is the book I was talking about, by Dr Bruce Lipton.

It's difficult to be 'mindful' when the mind is full! In this lovely meditation we play with the idea that the mind is full of fireflies (our thoughts), how they litter the night sky (a metaphor for your mind) and how we can gently bring these scattered thoughts into a single point of focus.

The 50th epiosde of the Yoga Pose Podcast! I'm celebrating by talking about faliure, some of my mistakes and mishaps, because they've lead to the greatest growth.
I flit from Sutras to music festivals, to explain what holds us back in life.
And I share how I lucky I feel because I've messed up often, they always make for great stories, and... I'm now in a position to mentor Yoga Teachers. Share everything I've learned to help you grow your Yoga Biz.

Why meditate? People always tell me they'd like to medtiate. In this epsiode I encourage you to stop wishing to start or maintain a practice, instead; think about why you want to meditate, what you feel is lacking (like feeling able to manage change) or too abundant (like stress!) and have that as your focus, your reason why.
Once you're clear on why, you're ready to receive this guided meditation episode.

In this meditation we practice 'pratyhara' which is about withdrawing the senses, freeing ourselves from worldly distractions.
It's a powerful little practice.
