Have you ever paid attention to how your energy, desires, symptoms, even feeling of mental capacity or self-confidence changes throughout your menstrual cycle?
Well, this IS a thing and it's not just you.
The hormonal fluctuations throughout the waves of our menstrual cycle have four fairly distinct phases - menstrual, follicular, ovulatory and luteal.
And each of those phases can be characterized as having certain qualities.
It is tremendously empowering for folks to start not only tracking their cycles but also get to know what patterns and strengths or weaknesses they notice in each of them.
To see the strengths, the weaknesses, the tendencies - and start to come to expect them, accept some of the harder parts and really harness the strengths of each phase as superpowers.
This entire way of perceiving our bodies and our cycles has been a trending topic over these past few years, and is commonly known as cycle awareness or cycle synching.
But I wanted to jump in and throw my own version of this beautiful practice into the mix, including probably most importantly not being to strict about it, and above all else, listening to YOUR body to learn what's true and right for YOU.
Not just attach to some idealized version you read about in a book or saw on TikTok.
