Did God actually tell you to cut out carbs? Go keto? Or start the carnivore diet? 😬
Sometimes we make huge sacrifices in the name of “health” or “righteousness”... but if it’s not what God actually called us to do, it’s disobedience—not devotion.
In today’s powerful episode of Your Daily Bread, Abbie unpacks 1 Samuel 15:20–22 and shares why obedience is greater than sacrifice—in your relationship with food, in your body image journey, and in your everyday health habits.
This episode will lovingly convict you, challenge worldly diet culture, and call you back to intimacy with Jesus, where true freedom is found. 🙏

Ever felt the urge to eat everything in sight before a fast, a new diet, or a health reset? That impulse is what I call Last Supper Syndrome—and it’s rooted in fear, scarcity, and control, not freedom.
In this Holy Week episode of Your Daily Bread, we’re looking at how Jesus approached His final meal before the crucifixion and what it reveals about how we should approach food, our bodies, and the sacred rhythm of eating.
If you’ve ever wrestled with restriction, food guilt, or “one last binge,” this episode is for you. 💜 ✨

Is it wrong to want to lose weight? Instead of wrestling with whether the desire is “bad” or “good,” what if we brought it honestly before the Lord?
In this episode, we dive into the story of Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46-52)—a man who didn’t hold back his request from Jesus. Just like him, we can bring our deepest desires to God and trust Him to sift through them, pruning what is worldly and affirming what is good and true.
Weight loss is a secondary goal, much like anger is a secondary emotion—it points to something deeper. When we walk with God in our health journey, He leads us to the real desires of our hearts. And whether or not weight loss happens, we will find true satisfaction in Him alone.
🎧 Press play and let’s talk about how to surrender your health journey to Jesus with an open heart.

This week I'm talking about how to break free from the chains of the Clean Plate Club! If you feel pressure to finish all the food on your plate and override your fullness cues, this episode is for YOU!
I also cover how our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and not trash cans. Our bodies are Holy ground, not a dumping ground. But how do we increase our conviction around how we steward our bodies without it turning into condemnation and shame? Because this usually leads us to treat the bodies more harshly by responding with a restrictive diet or excessive exercise plan… tune in this week to find out!

Welcome to Season 2 of Your Daily Bread Podcast! 🎉
We’re kicking off this new season with a fresh wind and some exciting changes. After an incredible journey with my co-host, Hannah, she’s now embarked on a brand-new adventure with her own show (take a listen here)! While we’ll miss having her alongside me, I’m expectant for what this season will bring.
In today’s episode, we dive into Matthew 6:25-34 about releasing worry and trusting that God will provide for our needs. We often get caught up in stressing about what we eat, what we wear, and what the future holds. But this passage reminds us that God cares for us far more than the birds of the air and the flowers of the field. We are called to trust Him with our worries because if it’s enough to worry about, it’s enough to pray about!
I’m excited for this new season and the direction the show is heading! Don’t forget to subscribe, share, and leave a review if you’re enjoying the episodes so far!
