Need a new recruitment strategy to retain interested future sisters into passionate, contributing members? Let's try authenticity.
Our potential new members deserve to see clearly what membership would be like if they join, not what you want it to look like or feel like it should look like, but what it would actually be like. We invited Zafyre Turner, past chapter consultant for Alpha Chi Omega and current Customer Success Manager at PhiredUp, to share how her sorority journey started not with recruitment but with emersion. Dream with us how you can showcase the real sisterhood you are a part of and love before, during, and after recruitment. So let's revitalize your current & future members' (and your own) recruitment experience.
It's time to transform the cliche of "Panhellenic Love" from the topic of your community sisterhood event to a lived reality on your campus. We cannot effectively tap into the strength of our collective sisterhood while tolerating competition and comparison between our chapters. Joining Cassie to unpack these tensions is Her Sorority Journey's newest team member, Molleigh Pompilio. With experience ranging from traveling to chapters across the country as a sorority consultant and supporting a Panhellenic community through tragedy as a FSA, Molleigh has seen power that can come from members supporting one another regardless of affiliation. We all need a refreshed vision of Panhellenic love so let's build it together before the month of love ends and women's history month begins!

If we want to sustain sorority, we have to start looking ahead. Heather Matthews joined Cassie to share the research findings from the Foundation of Fraternal Excellence's first Amplify Sorority Campaign that explored WHO are our future sorority members. The research revealed that the future of our chapters will be made up of women who fall into unique four personas, requiring four unique marketing methods! You don't want to miss the talking points, types of content you need to start posting, and recruitment format adjustments that she suggests to ensure your community is attracting tomorrow's leaders today. Tune in to learn how to attract an anxious but loyal generation of women who need to "try before they buy".
COB season is here! Are you ready for it?
Despite the stigma & stressful chapter conversations, continuous open bidding attracts amazing women to our organizations. The reasons that these future leaders and impactful sisters disregarded sorority because of the primary recruitment process are the very same reasons that they will be irreplaceable members. On today's episode, Lauren Stills, recruitment enthusiast & Director of Growth at Sigma Kappa Sorority, shares recruitment strategies for COB process that she gained from her prior experiencing supporting recruitment efforts for fraternities! You'll learn where to find potential new members, how plan events that are already built into or mirror your chapter calendar, and where to start: with your sisterhood. Regardless of your leadership role in the chapter, you play a critical role in the growth of your chapter. The power she shares on COB being an opportunity to curate your own pool of PNMs and consequently, your future chapter culture, will leave you with a new perspective on sharing your sorority experience and not gatekeeping it that you will be excited to take back to your chapter!

Just got elected onto your sorority's executive council? CONGRATULATIONS! Once the reality of this privileged opportunity sinks in, you might find yourself leaning toward one of two extremes: 1) getting ready to change everything that's been done in your position before hoping for a different result than you've seen in the past or 2) preparing to replicate the plans you have seen executed in the past to ensure the same results.
In this episode, you’ll learn why both extremes can be dangerous to your sisterhood’s health and growth! Cassie has a framework of questions to ask yourself every time you are considering making a change to identify if it’s a pillar (something that should be sustained) or a banner (something to innovatively reimagine!)
Looking for support with your officer transitions? Take advantage of our pre-recorded officer transition workshop, Pass the Gavel, available for $149 through the end of the year!
So you're coming to the end of your sorority officer position - what's next in your sorority journey? As your sisters in your chapter prepare to transition into the roles you and your friends have held this past year, let's get you ready to STEP UP as a leader in the chapter as you step down from your titled role. After serving for a year or longer, it is no easy experience going from the executive board to being a general member so Kayla Eggering, the recruitment advisor and past chapter president of Alpha Sigma Alpha at Missouri State, joined Cassie to unpack helpful considerations & the nuances of this transition. Tune in to learn how to find the balance of being present & available to the newly elected officer with not being overbearing and showing up as a role model with caring for yourself after a likely exhausting term. Ultimately, we hope you use these tips as a road map to be able to graduate with pride in your sorority journey & a desire to continue serving your organization as a proud alumna and potentially advisor. You may be stepping down from a title but you are stepping up in leading by example and showing your support!
So you're ready to run for a sorority officer position... have you thought about why? Have you mapped out what you hope to accomplish?
Cassie believes that ALL interested sorority leaders need the take the time to imagine what they hope the chapter would look like as a result of their leadership - cast a clear vision for their leadership term. And it needs to be about impact. Sorority leaders are responsible to leave the chapter better than they found it - you need a vision that will sustain your leadership to do that!
In this episode, let's talk about how to cultivate a vision that reflects the needs of your members, will motivate you throughout the year, and not make the result of elections personally. In short, tune in to learn how run for a sorority officer position NOT about you.
