This episode was inspired by the first of four "pillars of shared meaning" from The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work by Dr. John Gottman. The pillar is titled "rituals of connection" and is all about creating consistent opportunities that all parties depend on and enjoy to enhance your feeling of "togetherness".

We both took a moment to reflect on our personal family cultures and rituals and also the opportunities where we could enhance the feeling of connection or create a more meaningful tradition. We encourage everyone who listens to take a few minutes to make your own lists as well and to incorporate at least one new tradition or ritual into your family culture.
