Brannon believes that addiction is a mental health issue, but one that can be managed and that you can heal from. Tyler talks about addiction as a series of continual choices wired together by the power of habit.  Recovery is the reclamation of negative habits and replacing them with positive habits. Both Brannon and Ty Redemption is real and possible.   

+ How do you let your partner know how much pain their addiction causes you?  

It's critical in any relationship to communicate honestly. As critical, is how you deliver and share your feelings. Maintain your self respect, and be ready to stand strong in your own truth. Chances are that you will feel some pain and discomfort as you do, but vulnerability and honesty are the best. Be as compassionate towards yourself and your partner as possible.   

+ I think my husband has an addiction. How to I help him?  

It's not your job to prevent your spouses behavior. Your responsibility is to be honest and seek for true connection. Stay true to your values.
