Season 1 of the Any Given Runday podcast did not end how we wanted it to. In today's episode, the lads talk about how season 2 came to be!
With no marathons or runs insight, the lads are setting weekly goals while adhering to social distancing first and foremost. With no running groups or races, it can be hard to stay motivated. Which is why they have set up a Facebook group and weekly run targets: 5k Mondays, Interval Wednesdays and Long Run Weekends. You can get involved too by clicking on the link below:

In today's episode:
The lads talk about how their running and training has been affected by the events of the past week [0:55]
While the first season of the Any Given Runday Podcast did not end the way they wanted it to, the lads talk about one thing they have taken from the podcasts that they learned and applied it to their own training
How they came to the conclusion to set up a Facebook community group for running and why they are setting the weekly challenges for everyone, including themselves. [13:05]
The most important thing with the challenges is that it's you against you. It is there for some accountability for yourselves to get a run in and see how you get on. It can be hard to get motivated in these times but just getting out of the house, while following the social distancing protocols and getting a run in can be great for your physical and mental health.
You don't have to get a 5k in on Monday if you feel you can't do 5k. Even 2k or 3k to start and build from there!
