137: Gut Health Tips to Keep you Thriving

Listen Later

These past few months it’s been more important than ever to ensure you’re doing everything you can to have a strong immune system; and a thriving immune system starts with your gut health! I’ve been really focusing my energy on being consciously aware of the things I’m putting into my body lately and I’ve truly been feeling SO good! Today I want to share with you all a few things I’ve been doing to maintain a healthy gut. When we have good gut health, we have more energy and a better overall sense of well being. Our relationships thrive, our businesses thrive, and everything in our lives in general works and flows better when we feel good.On this episode we dive into Tips for a Healthy Gut: First thing in the morning: brush and floss your teeth - and use a tongue scraper! This will help to remove a lot of bacteria that have built up in your tongue overnight. Water Intake: hydration is key to optimal health, you need it to eliminate the toxins in your body (especially) while it’s hot outside. Warm water + lemon + apple cider vinegar in the morning: eliminates toxins. Probiotics: This is important to keep our bodies nourished with the good bacteria. ** Note: To determine the amount to take and which one you should take - please consult an ND or your family Practitioner. Spices: Not only do they taste good, but spices like ginger, turmeric, and garlic can help with eliminating the bad bacteria in our bodies.Eating whole foods: organic fruits, veggies, and whole foods are what your body truly needs to thrive. Incorporate these as much as and as often as possible.Exercising and sweating: try to do this every day (even if for a short period of time) to eliminate toxins and release endorphins which make you feel GOOD! The take-home: Do the things that work best for you to support your gut health, but also make sure you are doing enough to support your gut health. As you support your gut health more and more, you will only continue to feel better. We want to support your gut health in the best way possible to prevent possible diseases in the future. It’s not about being perfect all of the time - but having just a few key routines in your life to support your gut health can really make a difference. Reach out if you’re needing any extra support or guidance, warriors!
