142. Navigate Transitions Well - Tips for New Dad's, New Grads, and Job Seekers

A special Father's Day episode with a new father, who also happens to be my son. Slade shares his experience as a young adult navigating new parenthood, graduation, and a job search. We discuss his struggles to practice mindfulness and the importance of following your intuition and listening to yourself. In this podcast, Slade offers the following advice:

3 Tips for New Dads

  1. Accept and allow whatever is happening with your baby, your spouse, and yourself;

  2. Accept all the family members and other helpers as they are and not who you want them to be;

  3. Stay in the moment, but don't beat yourself up when you stray.

7 Tips for Navigating Transitions and Living with Intention

  1. Take time to check in with yourself;

  2. Be honest with yourself and listen to your intuition;

  3. Avoid comparing yourself to others;

  4. Stop catastrophizing - most things work out in the end;

  5. Know that there will never be "a right time";

  6. Create your own journey;

  7. Live your decisions fully.
