Dandapani is a Hindu priest, international speaker, and entrepreneur. For 10 years, Dandapani lived a life of personal discipline and training at his guru, Sivaya Subramuniyaswami’s, cloistered monastery in Hawaii.

 

When Dandapani graduated with a degree in electrical engineering, he decided to move to Hawaii to become a monk instead. What Dandapani has learned over the last few decades is to keep life simple. Many people struggle with focus and have a hard time picking one set of priorities for the quarter, or even for the day. The reason people struggle with this is that we haven’t been taught how to concentrate. Have you ever had formal classes on how to do it?

 

In order to get focused, Dandapani believes it’s first important to understand how the mind works; then you can learn how to harness it, and then you can direct it, which is where learning how to concentrate begins.
