This conversation was recorded as part of an ongoing exploration of yoga practice and teaching within a global community. It is not intended as a political statement, but as part of a broader dialogue that reflects the diversity of voices within the world of yoga.
During times of conflict, I have made a sincere effort to hold space for practitioners from different backgrounds, including both Palestinian and Israeli yoga teachers, in the spirit of dialogue, shared humanity, and the unifying intention of practice.
At the same time, I want to be clear about where I stand. The practice of yoga is rooted in ahiṃsā, non-harming. I do not support war, violence, occupation, or systems of oppression. I stand against actions and structures that cause harm, displacement, and suffering, and for the dignity, safety, and freedom of all people.
This commitment is not abstract. It is a reflection of practice, an ongoing effort to align thought, speech, and action with compassion, truth, and responsibility.
I remain committed to holding space for dialogue while also standing firmly for peace, justice, and the fundamental humanity that connects us all.
