I have a proposition for you: let’s take the victimhood out of people pleasing. Wanting to please someone isn’t a bad thing; it’s the reason we are all here today. Because someone wanted to please a lover. Because a mother wanted to please her baby. Because I want to please you, for you to feel pleasure when you listen to this podcast. Of course we shouldn’t please others at the expense of ourselves, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t aim to please. Life exists in the middle of two extremes. Let’s play there.
