Caller Mia's Question: "I haven’t heard any other recovery podcast address this yet, but I would really like to talk about child pornography and having sexual interactions with minors. I found my husband had sexual interactions with girls as young as 13. Legally, I’ve already reported it, which gives me some freedom to be able to talk about it. I decided that was what was most authentic for me given my history of being sexually abused at 6 years old. Even within the recovery community, this seems like the hidden darkness. Should wives report their husbands if they discover child pornography or sexual conversations with minors? What is our ethical and moral obligation? How do we even BEGIN to address this with the addict—who’s shame ridden and scared he’ll have his children taken away? How do we protect our children?"
