After Aaron getting a Garmin watch last week, Seán sets to find out what the big deal is about them. We also talk about the keys to good running form for long distances and how they differ to shorter sprints.
Aaron talks about why he decided now was the time to get a Garmin watch and all the features it has (this podcast is obviously not sponsored by Garmin btw!) [0:45]
After hearing about all the features, Sean asks about Garmon Coach and why Eric has decided to use that for planning to do a 1:32 Half Marathon Training plan [6:30]
And finally on Garmin, Seán talks to Conor about the different types of Garmin watches as his watch is different to Eric and Aaron's. [13:15]
Seán switches gears and talks about running form, including foot strikes and steps per minute and the lads weigh in on whether it has an impact on their training [18:00]
Following a poll on the Instagram group on whether there will be running events in 2020, the lads have a brief discussion on whether they see that happening [27:20]
With no marathons or runs insight, the lads are setting weekly goals while adhering to social distancing first and foremost. With no running groups or races, it can be hard to stay motivated. Which is why they have set up a Facebook group and weekly run targets: 5k Mondays, Interval Wednesdays and Long Run Weekends. You can get involved too by clicking on the link below:
