I’m going to talk about a time when I felt very proud of my son. This was three years ago. He finished his high school and he wanted to do something exciting. He decided to go to South East Asia for 3 weeks. He wanted to travel to three countries with some friends from school. We were worried about him at first but we decided to let him go. He asked all his friends at school but their parents wouldn’t let them go. We told him that it was OK to drop off this plan, but he was really excited about the trip. He decided to go alone. It was very difficult and I knew that he was a bit scared. However, he had a really good trip and he also did all the things that he wanted to do. I was very proud of him because I knew that it was easy for him to give up the idea. But he was brave to stick to it. I think he did the right thing because now he is not afraid of doing things on his own. I will always be proud of him to make the decision to go alone.
