252: One-Liners for Setting Boundaries

Listen Later

From listener Nicole: What are some one-liners that I can say to the people in my life when I want to set a boundary in a non-offensive way?

“I have begun to recognize what my boundaries are and right now this is a situation where my boundaries are being crossed.” Or, “I respectfully disagree with what you said.”- Dana

In certain scenarios, it can be tricky to communicate your needs. Michelle says, “I appreciate your opinion, however, I’m going to do it this way..”

It is ok to disagree with others.

On this episode we dive into:

  • Realizing where our energy leaks
  • If you say yes, what are you saying no to?
  • Finding a one or two liner that will help you manage other peoples’ expectations of you
  • Putting energy into your hell yeses and leaving those “maybes” behind
  • How boundaries connect us to our higher self

The Take Home:

As soon as you become very clear with what you need, it can be very uncomfortable for people who are used to you being a certain way. Sometimes we hold ourselves back because we are fearful for how the people in our lives will react as we are growing. Remove the blocks and grow!

“The difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say no to almost everything.” -Warren Buffet

Ps. If you have something you’d like to ask us, send us a message and we’ll add it to our list!! Xx
