Brett Robinson sets a new National Record 2:07:31 at the Fukuoka Marathon, placing fourth overall and breaking Rob de Castella’s long standing 2:07:51 set at the 1986 Boston Marathon. The race was won overall by Maru Taferi of Israel in 2:06:43.
Sinead Diver sets a new National Record of 2:21:33 Valencia Marathon, breaking Benita Willis’ long standing record. Our own Brady ran 2:20:25, Kristian was unable to finish.
Ed Goddard placed 7th 2:13:36 at California International Marathon.
The National Mile Championship was won by 16 year old Cameron Myers in 4:07.04 over Joseph Deng and Will Lewis at the Albie Thomas Mile, while Izzy Thornton-Bott took out the championship in 4:36.36 over Jaylah Hancock-Cameron and Aynslee Van Graan.
Ky Robinson runs a Stanford Record and third fastest NCAA 5000m in 13:11.53, at the Boston University Indoors.
Steve Moneghetti runs 15:52 for the fastest time 5000m by an O/60 at the Collingwood Classic
Richard Welsh, general manager for the upcoming World Cross Country Championship in Bathurst joins to talk about events open to the general public, including the Golden Ticket race for first 7 across the line for Wildcard Place in Championship Race.
