Caller Shea's Question: "I felt very guided by God to marry my ex-husband.  God knew my ex-husband was going to betray me, so I have 2 parts of me that are struggling to make sense of it. One part knows that the betrayal was exactly what I needed to take a deep dive into my stuff, and I am a better woman for it. Another part is terrified to trust God again as I try to re-enter the dating field. I am scared that, although it may be good for me, God might lead me right to the fire again. It was so painful. I just want to protect my heart from Him. I am struggling to trust that God will have my back. How can I trust and surrender again? Is God the Father a protector?....…"
