Andy Buchanan returned to the podium at the Cruden Farm 12km Cross Country, with Liam Cashin in second and Lachlan Herd third. Bendigo was the winning team, ahead of Box Hill and Western Athletics.
Ed Goddard won the 10km NSW State Cross Country Champs over in Nowra, ahead of Bankstown pair Hamish Longworth and Harrison McGill, with Sydney University the winning team.

Peter Bol made his emphatic return to the track running a season opener of 1:45.81 in Nancy, France
Gerda Steyn and Tete Dijana both set Down Course Records in the Comrades Marathon, running nearly 89km from Pietermaritzburg to Durban, South Africa. Wayne Spies was the top Australian and 50+ Age Category record in 5:42:01
