Challenges are the most difficult part of running your own business since this is the part that has real struggles. The pressure is overwhelming, and it's hard to think quickly and come up with a solution. But, despite those struggles and challenges, my question to you is, can you do something about it? This episode explores three effective ways of overcoming those challenges that I am still applying to my own landscaping business. It helped me, and I hope it will also help you get through the tough times you are currently going through.
Understaffed, overwhelmed, running behind, the phone's ringing off the hook. How do you deal with it? When you're running behind apologizing to customers, and you got a business to run? Basically, everybody's mad at you. So when your back is up against the wall and your business, I want you to ask yourself. "Can I do anything about this?" Because crying to yourself or telling yourself stories or getting on the phone and complaining and whining isn't going to do anything. It's just going to make it worse, and you'll be annoying.

Why do you have to listen to today's episode?
00:20 -Running a business has its challenges, but you should learn to deal with them instead of complaining or giving up. Here are three approaches you might consider to deal with these challenges;
1:36 - Is there anything I can do about this? You can solve more and more of these seemingly endless abyss problems if you focus. But, don't just focus on the problem. Focus on the solution.
2:39 - There is no easy solution to every problem. Often problems are hard to solve, and the truth is, there may be no solution at all. So, what should you do in the worst-case scenario? Why don't we surrender... Surrender to the process, and there's gold in the process.
3:52 - The next step is to change the way you look at it. Perspective is everything. Sometimes when you change the way you see an issue. Instead of becoming a challenge, it becomes an opportunity.
Key Takeaways
"Stop trying to be so successful and trying and trying and trying that feeling of trying and fighting. Sometimes if you surrender to the process, that's where you're meant to be right now is working these things out of you and your spirit."
"Perspective is everything. Sometimes you need somebody who's an accountability partner or a coach in your life, somebody you can talk to you. I have people who are very close and dear to me that are entrepreneurs that I can actually trust, sharing my struggles with. And sometimes they give me this whole new perspective where it's like an out-of-body experience. And I changed the way I see the situation. And now it becomes an opportunity. When you change the way you see things, the things you see change. So by the very act of changing the way you see it, your consciousness actually somehow changes it."
