Would you say you have a little food fear? When it comes to our health and body composition goals it's pretty natural and often encouraged to see food as our enemy. We count every calorie or macro that goes into our mouth, never miss a grueling workout and if we eat too much we sometimes feel bad about ourselves and try to make up for our "lack of will-power" by eating less and exercising more. Sound familiar? So many of us have fallen into this "less is more" trap at some point in our lives. There's a lot of information being thrown at us in magazines, on blogs, on social media, etc, that if we want to look fit and healthy, the approach we need to take is to eat less. It can be so frustrating when we follow this advice to keep cutting calories and adding more exercise, to then actually see our bodies STOP progressing. Today's episode is all about why this happens, and why less isn't always more.
Today's guest is Megan Millecam, a fitness and nutrition expert that provides virtual training + nutrition coaching. She is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer with a BS in Exercise Science and a Masters in Health Science. Cody and Jess are so excited to visit with her today, because she has worked with thousands of women to reach their health and fitness goals and is so successful in empowering women to have a healthy relationship with food and exercise. Her positive, no-nonsense approach is what she is loved and admired for. She shares that there is a better way!
Listen in today as Jess, Cody and Megan share how they each have learned through their own experiences and from coaching others, what actually provides MORE when it comes to our health and fitness. They share tips and insights that you won't want to miss!
