Let’s get into HEAD NOISE where I answer your questions about life, love, friendship, and all the fun messy things that make being alive so lit.
1) My partner and I are great, and then every now and then they snap when talking about or learning about my past dating history. My dating history isn’t anything wild, and I can’t control that I’ve been with other people, so how do I deal with their reaction to the fact that they’re not my first and only love?
2) My partner has genital herpes, and has been upfront with me about this. We communicated about expectations in our physical relationship, and how I could most be comfortable and feel protected at the same time. We are now a little further into our relationship and he has started saying things like if I want this relationship to continue I need to stop making him feel so bad about having herpes, that I make him feel dirty and ruin his self confidence because of the precautions I’ve put in place during sex to keep myself at less risk of contracting HSV.
3) My therapist says I am anxiously attached from a past trauma. I was wondering if you could talk me through limerence vs love, because my anxiety around dating
