Did you know that research on the mind-body connection is gaining ground in mainstream science, and is no longer relegated to “alternative” medicine. We now know, in a deeper and more detailed way, how thoughts and feelings can affect our physical health and well-being. This is a concept that we all understand instinctively, and often relate to in our own lives, but it’s good to see the science support our shared experience.
There is a neurological, endocrine, and immunological conversation at work in every one of us that is reflective of our emotional state. While it’s very important to look at the root causes of conditions from a functional nutrition standpoint, it's also important to address the emotional aspects at the same time for long-term recovery. The emotional patterns behind officially diagnosed hormone conditions like miscarriage, infertility, ovarian cysts, fibroids, endometriosis, and other conditions are common to many, many women and very much a shared female experience. Understanding this aspect is an opportunity to have compassion for ourselves and for other women.
On today's episode Jess and Cody welcome special guest Taryn Neves, who is an advocate for empowering women with processing emotions properly. She shares her own story of what she learned while experiencing four devastating miscarriages, and infertility. It's a vulnerable conversation, but its an empowering conversation that will be helpful for many who can relate to Taryn, and her message of hope and healing.
On today's podcast two books were recommended to go deeper into this subject.
A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course On Miracles

You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hays
