Today’s episode is a deep and personal story for me. If you don’t know already, I lost my dad 7 years ago. Running was something I had convinced myself I wouldn’t do again, not only because it’s how my dad passed away but because of the injuries I have experienced in my lower back and leg. For Father’s day this year, I set a goal to run 5kms in honor of my dad, and have spent this year working towards smashing that goal. I take the time in this episode to talk about my journey of losing him and the impact that had on my nutrition and training. I hope you guys enjoy a storytime-style chat from me, and remember life happens and it’s okay to give yourself a break when the going gets tough.
