Dr. Scott Abramson introduced Dr. Laurie Green, the founder of the MAVEN Project. The discussion highlighted the critical shortage of specialist care in America’s safety net clinics, where millions of medically disadvantaged individuals wait months to see specialists. Dr. Green explained how the MAVEN Project leverages a network of retired physicians to provide immediate telehealth consultations, drastically reducing wait times. This innovative model not only improves patient care but also provides meaningful opportunities for retired doctors to continue contributing to the medical community.
