A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, she completed her residency at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Tanno is passionate about educating patients and professionals on the importance of creating personalized advanced directives. Her work focuses on guiding families through the complex decision-making process associated with end-of-life care, helping them document their values and preferences for medical treatment. She offers online courses and resources through Advanced Directive MD to make these discussions more accessible and practical.
