In this episode we have a heartfelt conversation with Renee Staska, a solo mum of three children living with childhood dementia as well as a proud ambassador for the Little Heroes Foundation. A foundation in South Australia that raises much needed funds to support children suffering from a physical or mental illness. In this chat Renee opens up about the raw reality of caring for all three of her children, discussing the symptoms, the progression of the disease and its impact on her family's life. She talks about the struggle to accept the diagnosis and the fear of the unknown future as the average life expectancy of children with childhood dementia is late teens.We are in awe of Renee’s story and the life she is creating for her children to have the as much of the same opportunities as other children.
