Peter F. Drucker once said: "Whenever you see a successful business, someone once made a courageous decision." In our recent listener survey hundreds of you described how you wanted to have your own business.
Today I'm going to grab some of your questions and we'll look at ways to move through the tough parts of doing something on your own. We're going to look at a growing phenomenon called "full-time children" where kids have given up getting a job and are just staying home.
Remember the movie with Matthew McConaughey - Failure to Launch
Tripp, a 35-year-old professional layabout, is happy to stay at home where he's waited on hand and foot by his mum Sue. However, she and her husband Al have had enough and decide that to get him to leave, they have to use subtle methods. So, they hire Paula who will use her feminine wiles to lever him out of the family home.
So, grab your cup of tea - or maybe your Mt. Dew - and get ready for a power-packed episode filled with practical advice, inspiring stories, and valuable resources to help maximize your opportunities
So here are our discussion points for today's episode:
Questions:
1. Do you have any "full-time children" living at your house?

Wow - don't think that an academic degree is a guarantee of anything in today's workplace. It takes far more than degrees to prove your value.
We'll unpack this listener question - and some other doozies.

1. I was arrested, then vindicated and now want to write a book about not allowing evil to win.
2. Most people would look at my life and business and think I am "ahead" in many ways, but I usually tend to feel behind about 90% of the time. Is this normal?
3. I'm a 26-yr-old woman with an MBA. I was valedictorian of my class but have not been able to find a job in over 3 years. How can I get unstuck?

In today's podcast I want to revisit some of the astounding things people are doing by focusing on a small niche. Old typewriters, chandeliers, books, art pieces and more are bringing record numbers.
Bob Ross completed 1.1k+ paintings over the 31-season run of "The Joy of Painting," but one from the very first episode depicting a stone path, a pond, and some trees is getting attention right now. It's on the market — listed at $9.85m. Its original owner? A PBS volunteer who likely bought it for about $50.
Well, I want to walk through some listener questions to stimulate your thinking about your unique area of expertise. I'll bet there's something right under your nose that would open the floodgates to the life you've been dreaming of.
So here are our question setups for today's episode
Questions:
1. It only took 4 months of unloading trucks for a large carrier, (making decent money) before he decided there's got to be a better way!
2. My corporate job ends in Nov (46 days from today!), but I am OK.
3. My "dream" (goal) is to have $700,000 in retirement funds before I reach the age of 71. We currently have about $20,000 in savings.
4. What if I feel done with trying to make friends, and I only want to survive
