Today I am joined with Alyssa Hudachek to talk about her journey as a surrogate while shedding light on this topic!

Surrogates make parenthood an option for people who are unable to bear children or adopt a child.

In Alyssa's case, she went through a surrogacy agency. An agency makes all the arrangements. The process can take a long time.

Who Uses Surrogates?
-Medical problems with your uterus
-You had a hysterectomy that removed your uterus
-Conditions that make pregnancy impossible or risky

*Typically if you're a first-time surrogate you are going to be compensated around $45,000 although in different circumstances you could be compensated more.

Being a surrogate is an important job!
