2022 is fast approaching, and we want to encourage you to approach this New Year differently. So many people set goals that quickly fade as they try to correct or improve something in themselves. We are asking you to shift your mindset from trying to training. Training embodies so much and we should always be in training. It involves setbacks, growth, daily decisions, and injuries. Instead of trying....commit to training.
Focus on the words of Paul to the Corinthian church in 1st Corinthians 9:24-27, "Do you not know that in a race that all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified."
In addition, pray and ask God for a word that you can focus on for the year that allows you to be purposeful in your training. We wish you a Happy New Year and pray that each of you grows in your relationship with Jesus this next year.
