Return to office (RTO) mandates are here, and the reasons for implementing them are either poor, or outright lies.

You're being told that RTO is to "increase productivity" and "foster a sense of community", when they just finished bragging about how effective, flexible and communicative teams had been mid-pandemic.

Some even bragged about how much more efficient their teams were running.

What's with the about-face change in tone?

They're talking out of two sides of their mouth. They tell you that you'll be more productive in the office (everyone, regardless of job scope, personality or work style), but that's not the real reason they want you to come back in. There are ulterior motives that are driving these mandates.
