This week’s guest was dragged onto the wrestling mats by his father, and early in his career, he cried after almost every practice. But even as an eighth-grader he had a voice telling him that even though he was constantly being beaten up it wasn’t always going to be that way.

It was that attitude that led Brandon Mullins to become not only a high-level Jiu Jitsu competitor but a multi-time world champion.

Listen as Brandon discusses how he overcame his rough start in combat sports, his thoughts on how everyone from hobbyists to competitors can optimize their training, and how sometimes being selfish on the mats is a necessity.
