The love that we feel about ourselves is largely down to the way that we look. This standard of validity has been imposed upon us by a diet industry that makes millions preying on people’s need to ‘fit in’. When menopause hits and the weight goes on, many women and people exhaust themselves in an attempt to maintain those unrealistic standards of beauty, just to feel like they belong.
