As a working mom of two active toddlers, Monica Plath intimately knows the anxieties parents and caregivers face when they are apart from their children. That’s how she came up with her idea for Littlebird, a wearable tracking device that offers parents and caregivers peace of mind and real-time data about their children. In the middle of the pandemic, Monica found herself on ZOOM while nursing a newborn and meeting with software developers to meet milestones for deployment. During this time, she also wrote a children's book for charity and created a wine for moms from unused grapes from an award-winning vineyard --- all from rural Yakima Washington. The pandemic enabled her to go digital, file 4 patents, raise 2 million in pre-seed money, and resource the best minds in the business to create Littlebird while raising 2 small children as her marriage was falling apart.
