Joost Janssen is a father, actor, stuntman and former Navy SEAL. He enlisted in the Navy at 22 years old after his wife was tragically killed in an automobile accident. He served more than 12 years as a Frogman before leaving the military. Joost then worked for the CIA for over five years and has made deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and many others. Currently he is a Hollywood actor and stuntman who has worked on films such as Iron Man, Transformers, American Assassin and more.  In this segment, Joost expands on why you should keep doing difficult things to push your mind and body and improve your mindset.

After overcoming drug addiction, PTSD from fighting in Iraq with the Marines, depression and alcoholism that drove him to the brink of suicide, Akshay Nanavati has since built a global business, run ultramarathons, spent 7 days in darkness, and explored mountains, caves and polar icecaps. Combining his experiences with years of research, he wrote the book Fearvana. The Dalai Lama said “Fearvana inspires us to look beyond our own agonizing experiences and find the positive side of our lives.” Akshay now helps people build a positive relationship to suffering in order to create a life of boundless bliss. In this segment Akshay describes the “ultra run” and other extreme activities that have helped him confront PTSD.

Dean Karnazes is an Ultra Marathoner, Author, and one of Time Magazine’s Top 100 most influential people in the world. He ran 50 marathons in all 50 states in 50 consecutive days, and has also won the world's toughest foot race, the Badwater Ultra- Marathon. He speaks about mental toughness, his most challenging races and the mindset for pushing past your goals.
