In today’s episode of A Day in Her Life Podcast, I sit down with Caroline Allen to discuss her days! Caroline is a working mom of two kiddos, who supports a non profit education prize as well as a new business supporting Moms in the North Shore. I loved hearing about how Caroline sets up “Yes Zones” to support dinnertime chaos and reduce triggers, and how her ideal day looks pretty close to her regular days -  spending half the day with her kids, and half working and supporting innovators in education.

Through her business the Mom Connection, Caroline is hosting Mom Talks and Toddler Moms groups, and coming up on June 14, she has a virtual Mom Talk with Dr Jacqueline Nesi, a  clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor at Brown University, and author of Technosapiens Newsletter. I have RSVPed, so excited to join and hear about technology and our kids. Today on the Podcast, I chat with Lizzie Johnson the owner of Lizzies Bakery, a custom cake and dessert bakery in Acton, MA.

Lizzie and I chat about how her week is structured around the baking, prepping, and delivery of cakes and how she takes Mondays and Fridays as days with her boys. Lizzie shares how she’s outsourced to help grow her business and how sometimes late nights are needed to get it all done. We also talk about how Lizzie leverages her gym daycare for both working out and strategic date nights, and the joys of being a tourist in your own city. Lizzie also shares the power of budgeting, a habit I am trying to get good at in 2023.
