Abby Hall, professional runner with Adidas Terrex, joins us just a few days before lining up at the Chianti Ultra Trail 120k where she'll be making her second run for a Golden Ticket this year!
Abby joined the podcast for a short, pre-race interview before the Black Canyon 100k - where she ran for a strong and impressive fifth place finish, coming less than 2 minutes shy of a Golden Ticket position.
(You can find that pre-race interview here, for some more context on Abby's intentions and motivations for the 2025 season: https://open.spotify.com/show/4vv3j6iToqP158Qvd2Xi4Q )
In this episode, we take a longer look into her history as an athlete, adventure seeker, and ultimately, professional trail runner. Abby has an inspiring work ethic, as well as a love for the process of what she's doing that stems all the way back to her earliest days in the sport.
That energy and excitement carries through as she catches us up to speed on her experience at Black Canyon, and the motivations behind a 6-week turnaround to take another shot in Italy this weekend.
You can follow Abby's race alongside yet another deeply competitive women's field here (the race begins Saturday at 4:00am local time, which is 11pm Eastern or 8pm Pacific for our U.S. listeners):
