The #YouMeBigC team visit the Christie in Manchester to find about the UK’s first ever NHS Proton Beam centre.

John Archer, the centre’s clinical manager, takes us on an all access tour of the facility. Deborah, Lauren and Steve speak to Dr Ed Smith, the proton beam clinical lead, to find out how the treatment works. They also chat to Angela Mulholland whose 5-year-old son, Aidan, has Ewing’s Sarcoma and is currently undergoing proton treatment for a tumour in his spine. Produced by Mike Holt and Alex Entwistle.
