Any of us could suffer a nonfatal cardiac arrest. Sudden cardiac arrest is not limited to patients with heart disease. Even athletes could have a sudden and unexpected cardiac arrest. We must be prepared as society (external defibrillators and CRP) but also as cardiologists (to perform the correct studies).
