She currently serves as vice president of her institution’s SRC, advocating for student wellbeing, and where she is known for her sharp thinking and consistency.

This episode marks her first step in publicly speaking sharing her journey with PCOS and insulin resistance; an experience that has shaped how she sees her body, her voice, and her purpose.

She hopes a story opens for more honest conversations and reminds others that they’re not alone.

In this episode, I made the effort to double down on the previous episode, that I had with my friend, Khanya. It was of a serious urgency to re-explore the topic of dating, as a Christian woman. With the growth and wisdom that I've gained since the last time I spoke about matters in this regard, it was only right to open the table of conversation and share my thoughts with you, as the Genge.

You see, in the scope that I've chosen to understand this phenomenon, I've come to the realization that the hunt to find someone who values the morals and ideologies that I stand for, as a Christian woman will always be hard - especially because we're in a world where everyone has a difference in backgrounds and religious views, but that's the moment where one needs to be assured of what God's plan is for their life, in terms of finding a partner.

I wanted to use this time to share where my headspace is at, by comparing my thoughts from the past and where my mind fixates in this current moment. From expectations that I would anticipate from an ideal partner to the differences we could face and the deal breakers. All faucets of these fall under the guide of my path in my spirituality and my walk with God.

I hope you can find some gems that you can store for your own path in life, as you discover what your ideal partner is, that not only fills you up in the physical, mental and emotional aspect but in the spiritual aspect too!

It's quite a daunting task to assure yourself that things will fall into place, within due time. It's essentially difficult to regain your mindset when you've actively dreamed about certain things that you've wanted to accomplish in a set period of time.

Most times, as humans, the result of these moments can build discouragement, disappointment and the loss of faith and trust in the process and within what God has for us. Khanya and I get to unpack all the factors around this phenomenon through a beautiful conversation packed with gems and laughs about our personal experiences and the people we've met along the way.

Today's episode is all about the aspects of shame and regret. There is not a person, in life, that has not felt the ripple effects of what shame and regret can do.

Even though we can try to forgive ourselves for the things we've done in the past (whether we knew better or not) we always have those fleeting moments of introspection where we become hard on ourselves for the mistakes we've made. For most, it grows into a bigger problem where it begins to hinder you from obtaining the future you truly deserve.

This episode goes into the psyche of the mind, regarding this phenomenon and how I have navigated through such situations, as I grow older. I hope these experiences and lessons can help you in shaking the habits of letting shame or regret have a say in how your future should be.

We all are constantly learning and evolving. In that same process, it is inevitable to make mistakes. All we need to do is find our ways to silence those voices in our heads, of course; with the guidance of our Lord in all times!

This episode felt like a point in recent time where I finally had the opportunity to speak on matters of the heart. Observing where I've come from and also where I'm going.

There are certain things and behavioral patterns that once were a part of my itinerary that I don't carry anymore. Certain habits that I would use for different aspects of my life are now far away from my reach, as I record this episode for you, today. This is all in unison with the frontal lobe development phase that has happened in my life.

For everyone, their times of development are different, but it all moves the same. We are so afraid of change that we are blinded by the nature of life and the inevitability of change. It needs to happen, for us to get better. It needs to happen, for us to grow. Ultimately, it needs to happen, for us to properly receive the blessings due to us, in the near future.

In partnership with 15 academic hospitals across South Africa, Smile Foundation are committed to restoring smiles by providing life-changing facial reconstructive surgeries and treatments to children in underserved communities.

This conversation is one that I am honored to have, as we shed some light on the experiences that Smile Foundation has been a part of, being a NPO that is super committed to giving children, who are affected with a facial disability, the help they need in order to live a life worth a million smiles!

Preparing for the promise is something that we all have to do. If we are fully transparent with ourselves and each other, this is a concept and practice that is hard to do. In a world where mistakes are a guarantee and experiences either grow or break us - the first thing we always hope for is instant solutions. When we pray to God, we expect instant answers and blessings as well.

But, what do we do and how do we move when our requests are delayed or denied for a better plan that God has for us? How do we remind ourselves to be firm in the faith and move with confidence? The confidence that God has and will never forsake us?

Join me as I open up about preparing for the promise. The promise that God will change our lives for the better. Beyond our wildest dreams. This episode is dear to me, as it speaks to a season in my life where a lot of learning and adapting had to be done. I hope there are gems for you to take, as you continue building your spirituality and relationship with the Lord!
