[REBROADCAST FROM July 26, 2021] The play, "Pass Over," was written by Antoinette Nwandu whose work on the piece was partially in reaction to news coverage of George Zimmerman's trial in the wake of Trayvon Martin's death. Director Danya Taymor and actor Namir Smallwood join us to discuss the production.

"Pass Over" is running on Broadway through October 10.

[REBROADCAST FROM MARCH 15, 2019] Irene Sankoff and David Hein, creators of the hit Broadway musical, “Come From Away,” and actors Joel Hatch and Alex Finke join us on the two-year anniversary of the show to discuss the success of the musical, which is about a group of travelers whose planes were diverted to Newfoundland on 9/11.

Broadway performances of the show resume starting September 21.

[REBROADCAST FROM AUGUST 19, 2021] Director Oren Jacoby joins us to discuss his new documentary, "On Broadway," which opened in NY on August 20. The film explores the inside story of Broadway’s last self-reinvention as told by an all-star cast including Helen Mirren, Christine Baranski, August Wilson, Hal Prince, James Corden, Alec Baldwin, John Lithgow, Tommy Tune, Hugh Jackman and Ian McKellen.

[REBROADCAST FROM SEPTEMBER 11, 2019] Producer Peter Gentile, Oz Fudge, a police officer from Gander, Newfoundland, and Nick and Diane Marson, the couple that met and fell in love while they were stranded there, join us to discuss the documentary, “You Are Here: A Come From Away Story.” The film details the real life events depicted in the musical, “Come From Away,” about the hospitality of the citizens of Gander on September 11, 2001.
